I would love to hear other methods that others use. Of course, there is anti-inflammatories, heat, ice, bengay, etc... But what exercises or tricks if you will do you use for loosening up stiff hand and finger aches?
One great method I have found that helps recover those sore hands and fingers and builds strength too... Is to work your flexer muscles. To do this, grab one or two thick rubber bands and place over the tips of all 5 fingers. Then stretch your fingers out against the resistance of the rubber bands. I actually use one of those popular rubber bracletes (like the breast cancer awareness ones). You can find finger resistant bands online specifically for this exercise as well. I will take it slow and hold the stretch. I have found this exercise can be done thoughout the week, used instead of a stress ball, I wear a rubber braclete all day, everyday, just for this purpose.. This really makes a difference in recovering faster and adds some cool looking muscles that run along the top of your forearms!!! Try it out!
Any other ideas?
